We Now Offer Dermaplaning
Cassie traveled to the Institute of Skin Science in southern New Hampshire to become certified in Dermal Planing. This is a service specific to her work in Esthetics.
What is Dermal Planing and what does a Dermaplaning service entail, you ask?
Dermaplaning is a safe and highly efficient exfoliation procedure. Essentially exfoliating dead skin cells and vellus hair (the soft, fine baby hair we all have on our faces), this leaves your face refined and skin feeling smoother. It also allows for better product absorption and helps your skin’s own cycle of shedding dead skin cells. The results are truly amazing. Cassie has practiced her new skill on the girls at the salon, and we have been loving the results. Our skin has been left with a radiant glow, that is truly noticeable.
Dermaplaning also has no downtime leaving skin with zero redness or irritation. This is a great option for people who want to be able to walk right out of their facial and go on with their day without the telling signs they just had a peel. It’s also a great option for those that have a big event coming up and can’t get in to see us with ample time prior to their event. Case in point – brides could do it the day of their wedding and not have any issues with redness or irritation.
Derma Planing is perfect for clients that:
– Want deeper penetration from the peels and hydrating masks used during a traditional facial
– Want an alternative to chemical peels
– Want extra exfoliation
-Want an alternative to facial waxing
There are two options to include this new service into your Esthetics appointment. You can have it as a singular service, which includes a cleanser, toner, Dermalplaning service, and hydrating lotion. Or you can have it as an add-on to your traditional customized facial routine.
We recommend that a Dermaplaning service done every four-weeks if it becomes something that you would want to add on a regular basis.
We have a wide variety of girls in the salon, and therefore a wide variety of reasons as to why Dermaplaning works for all of us. If you’re anything like Jaimie, she is a skin junkie and loves the tingling feeling a chemical peel can cause. Knowing that having Dermaplaning prior to a peel allows it to penetrate deeper into her pores and give her that tingling feeling she loves is a major draw to add this into her facial appointment.
Debony on the other hand, is sensitive to facial waxing and prefers to not do it at all if she has the choice. Dermal Planing is a great option to have for those that barely tolerate the traditional wax and strip hair removal service
