What is a Make-up Artist?

Dear Friends,

What is a make-up artist? By definition, at the end of the day, it means working with people and getting to a place where you can build a repore, spoken or unspoken. It means both the artist and the client not being afraid to seek a look that is empowering.

Cosmetics are such an amazing thing. It’s a huge industry that has experienced great changes over the years.  The one thing that hasn’t changed though, is our love for them.  From digging around in some unsuspecting elders’ make up bag, to preparing  for  a fun night out, to being excited to create some fun version of yourself, to really coming to the realization that it’s getting real and you NEED that concealer like peanut butter needs jelly!

All that aside, the one thing that I realize is make-up should be fun, not intimidating. It should make you feel more confident, whether for function or fun.
